- In at least 250 words answer the following question: What is your story about?
My story is about students in the DC area and their reactions to the natural disaster. I will be talking to students about: If they are scared for the people in Houston, do they think that this storm can hit DC, how do they want to help other kids that are located in Houston, are their teachers talking about this storm in class? I think it’s very important to see what kids know and their ideas on how they can possibly get involved in helping make sure people are safe even if they aren’t necessarily from the same area.
Pending approval from schools, I will go inside the classroom and talk with students about their reactions. I am primarily focused on schools that have the grades 6th nd under and see what they are possibly doing to help the victims. Along with talking with students I will also talk with the educators, and ask how they go about sharing the sad news like this amongst their children. Furthermore, I would love to get some of their stories on how their students chose to either get involved in helping the victims. I have a few friends that are educators so I am working with them about gaining approval to talk with the students as well as them to see how they dealing with the hurricanes that are affecting us.

I have contacted both Aryn Davis, who is an educator in DC Charter schools she teaches 4th and 6th grade. She has currently contacted her administration and we are awaiting approval to speak with the students.
Another one of my friends is also a teacher Sydnee Carroll and she teaches second grade. She to has reached out to her administration and we hope to hear back by Thursday.

- What is an interesting fact about your topic that people would be surprised to know?
I think an interesting fact for this topic, is that children watch everything that we do. Although they may not comprehend everything, they care and are interested in getting involved. Therefore, I think its very important as adults to make sure we are doing our best to ensure that are students are being educated correctly instead of talking amongst their friends.
- Where do you plan to do your standup?
I plan to shoot my standup in the classroom, I want my viewers to see that I am actually on the scene!

Nayo Campbell, caught up with students and educators in the DC Metropolitan area to discuss their reactions and involvement with those affected by the Hurricane Harvey.
- Where are you considering doing your standup, and what type of standup is it?
I plan to do my stand up in the classroom, and as of right now I will do a closing standup. The stand up will basically some up what the students and educators said and also state how those watching the package can get involved.
